Follow me now; with the utmost patience, give my words great consideration.
Here, I conduct an apocalypse; an uncovering, a lifting of the veil.
First, the most miraculous and wondrous truth is realized, and the existence of God is proclaimed. God is only a name given to the Spirit of the Universe, whose existence we can begin to grasp when pondering our inner vision, this sublime power to see things with our eyes closed. Close your eyes and imagine something.....now open your eyes and ask yourself how it is that you can see without your eyes. This is the Spirit of the body, and that is what you are.
Consider the last dream you experienced, and ask yourself whose eyes see it, and how that imagery was created. In combination with this, ponder deeply that which we call the voice of conscience; this is the Spirit's voice, righteous and pure. This is the All-Mighty Creator. This is the Supreme Being. This is the living God.
Regard my words here as seeds planted within your mind. Regard your consideration of my words as their watering. The content of your mind will eventually be overtaken and overwhelmed by what blooms.
As Jesus said, "the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches."
God is one and God is many, a multiplicity of singularities.
The Spirit animates your body, all living things, and, indeed, it pervades all of creation.
This Spirit emanates all and is all, every thing comes from it and it is every thing.
The Spirit cannot be seen, it is invisible. The Spirit cannot touched, and is invulnerable. The Spirit did not ever come into being, it has always been and will always be.
This is the immortal Spirit of the Universe.
There is nothing else.
With absolute certainty I attest in truth to the existence of this most extraordinary entity.
The realization of this truth is ancient to the ancient. The Spirit itself reveals its own existence to us.
The wise understand that we can only know of it, we cannot say what it is. We can only describe it because we cannot explain it, and acceptance of this limitation must be fully realized and embraced.
The existence of God must first be realized, and then experienced; this experience cannot be conveyed to others. An experience of God is accorded solely to those of sincere and determined effort.
We must concentrate our awareness to remain ever focused on the Spirit, and upon this focused awareness the truth of the Spirit's existence is fully realized. We must concentrate our efforts on remaining ever mindful of the voice of conscience and always abiding by it, and upon this effort the experience of God culminates.
Alas, the true knowledge of God has become practically unknown upon our great sphere, the Planet Earth.
He who can uncover the truth of God, is, within a particular cultural tradition, accorded a title: Messiah.
Disappointment awaits those expecting the arrival of a super-being to eliminate evil from the world.
Consider the elements of the one true God: an all-powerful and all-mighty entity, invisible, invulnerable and immortal, who accounts for creation. God is today imagined to be deity of human form, an elderly man in the sky, with a long grey beard, wearing a flowing white robe and sitting upon a throne, righteous but judgmental; a distant far way power existing apart from ourselves. Our vitality has been crushed as we remain lost in this falsity.
How did this happen?
A great learning process has been undergone and important lessons have been learned.
The Spirit cannot be seen, it is invisible. The Spirit cannot touched, and is invulnerable. The Spirit did not ever come into being, it has always been and will always be. This entity exists. This supreme being is real, and its powers are awesome. This is the truth. This is God.
This understanding of the truth of God, a sublime subtlety, has been corrupted with distortion, remaining unknown to most.
Regarding God, the distance between the actual truth and an unreal falsity is minute; to account for the loss of the true knowledge of God, the answers here are kept simple, as are my provisions directing you toward an awareness of God's existence, which, when followed with diligence, culminate in an experience of God.
Instructive of this, recall the suffering of the Israelite nation upon their worshiping a golden calf. Parenthetically, this narrative is more likely only an instructive one, rather than a recording of actual historical events. The image of a golden calf, or a young bull, intended to remind one to cleave to conscience, as a calf cleaves to its mothers teat, and to reminds us of the purity in youth, and to emulate this. The forging of this image, the one, from the gathered earrings of the people, the many, intends to remind one of the multiplicity of the singular God. Now, in life, our intentions compel our actions; the intention behind the creation of this image is indeed honorable, but the focus of ones attentions becomes the idol itself, rather than the Spirit and its voice of conscience. The specific nature of the warning against idolatry is properly understood this way. This is why, within Islam, no images of the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, or of God, are permitted.
God is today imagined to be deity of human form, an elderly man in the sky, with a long grey beard, wearing a flowing white robe and sitting upon a throne; a distant far way power, existing apart from ourselves; numerous traditions have been born in the name of upholding this falsity.
All sensitive souls will reject this concept as the untruth which is it. All sensitive souls will reject those traditions which uphold this falsity in perpetuity. Those who have a vested interest, psychological or otherwise, in perpetuating this great falsity and the numerous traditions upholding it will condemn this rejection, characterizing it as evil, calling it heresy.
Heresy lays waste to falsity; upon those ruins, a Messiah rebuilds, in truth.
In practice, strive to remain ever aware of infinity and of Spirit; your everyday contemplation will come to be dominated by this awareness. In practice, strive toward unity with the voice of conscience; this unity can only occur through strenuous effort, intense devotion and singular determination
The determined spiritual traveler, thus engaged, will encounter much failure. The soul, the self, not yet unified with the Spirit and its voice of conscience, stumbles and falls; the result is the pain of guilt, as the Spirit condemns. We feel ashamed of ourselves for our transgressions and this state of being hurts. We all long to be liberated from the pain we inflict upon ourselves as a consequence of our wrongful conduct. Alas, in our unknowing, we do not understand the nature of this longing. Our inability to understand the nature of this longing frustrates, serving to intensify our spiritual pain.
In the words of he who was called Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama: "If, with an impure mind, one thinks or acts, then suffering follows one."
The determined spiritual traveler, thus engaged, should expect to experience terrific psychic disturbances, disbelief and shock, and an overwhelming sense of awe as true realization of the existence of the supreme being approaches.
The determined spiritual traveler ultimately reaches a state of purity, he or she has become the Spirit of the Universe, has become God, impeccable with integrity.
Reject the notion of God as a being who lives in the sky; remain ever in contemplation of yourself as a Spirit within a body and slowly but surely your everyday state of being will come to be overwhelmed by a sense of wonder; devote yourself to unity with the voice of conscience and liberate yourself from pain. Realize the difficulty of this journey and expect to experience pain whenever you fail to live up to your endeavor. Most importantly, realize that God is a mystery which cannot be explained, and whenever one tries too hard to understand the mystery they will find themselves overcome by doubt and confusion, an uncomfortable state of being. But strive mightily toward this goal, and reap the great reward.
"Advance, and never halt, for advancing is perfection. Advance and do not fear the thorns in the path, for they draw only corrupt blood." Khalil Gibran
